DO-nation

If you have never met a homeless man or woman, you might be shocked. These are helpable people. They are sports fans. They care about looking nice. They debate politics. They read the newspapers. They pray. Some of them have kids. Some of their families have no idea they are outside.

They were once children with dreams and now are adults who need help.

Some of these men are very funny. Top 3 I’ve heard.

q: Where do you live?

a: I’m in an abandominium (deserted house)

q: How bad is it sleeping outside?

a: It’s great. Year round air conditioning.

q: Adam, do you know what the greatest nation in the world is?
DO-nation. Can I have a dollar?

I didn’t give that guy a dollar, but I’m asking you to consider giving Resart a few of yours.

can't fake cold and wet

This guy has the worlds worst umbrella.

Some think that the homeless are lazy scammers. You cannot fake cold, wet, hungry.

Remember, homeless not helpless. Is this the image you have of a homeless man? This is reality in Philadelphia.

Homeless men have the best nicknames.  (Peanut, Chin, Shorty).  Last Christmas we were given some tickets to a 76’ers game. For some it was their first pro sports game. For others, the first since they were kids. (Note to viewers and children: Santa Clause is not homeless).

    I was forwarded your web-sit regarding your ministry. I would love to help serve with you in the homeless ministry. I serve for 5 years with Caring About Sharing (non-Profit) feeding the homeless every Sunday morning unitl the ministry had a few set backs. I have started my own non-profit called Palanting Seeds of Hope that will have feeding the homeless as one of it’s focus. I would love to talk with you about helping and networking together.     Thanks for your help with Id.
    I recently recieved a check for Id for the state of Pa
    on the 19th of january 2009

    I am disabled waiting for ssi,ssd have been mgged numerous times due to my situation.

    Consequently my Id as well as other items were stolen on numerous occasions

    yrs ago I used to have a checking account of which i wrote a check for Id for the state of Pa

    the bank didnt clear in enough time so i bounced
    consequently problems arose from that. Many i wasnt aware of

    But if you are informed of how they may work. Penndot issued a notice of cancelation of Id. due to the bounced check yrs ago of which the bank at the time had acknowledged.

    The problem is penndot will not accept your gift of 12 dollars fo Id until I Send them 10 dollars certified check or money order… The kicker is that it has to be delivered to harrisburg.. no where else… and I have been told it takes a week to clear the cancelation for Id… then and only then your check for a duplicate Photo Id.. will be accepted..

    Here is the problem … One i dont have the 10 dollars to send them…
    two.. i do recall that your gift for a penndot Photo Id was only good for 30 Dayx… today is the 15th of feb 2009

    I still have the check “20392,,
    My question is one would you be able to help me once again to finally get my Pa Photo Id..
    If not I am not sure when i will be able to raise the 10 dollars to move this process fwd…..
    If and when I do be able to fullfil that obligation will your check be still good…..
    The ohter kicker is they wouldnt accept your check no matter what til the cancelation is removed… otherwise i would have put in at 11 and market penndot ass. office ctr.

    So at this point I am at a no win situation..

    Please get back to me..soon as possible…
