Loving thy neighbor. A ministry to the homeless

Adam and friend

Many of these men and women were born into a cycle of poverty. Raised in the projects. They were forgotten children…..and are now ignored as adults.

Let use remember how blessed we are. For those of us who have more than we need, let’s not forget about those who don’t have enough.

  1. In the 8 years I’ve been getting the alumni catalog, this is definately the first time I’ve seen something so valuable in there and something that could impact people so much. I’m so excited to hear how you’ve been allowing God to use you. Actually, its very exciting to see that prayers have been answered! I remember praying, with various bible studies during college, for the athletes on our campus that they would find Christ and use the leadership role they had for his kingdom, so hearing your story was a huge encouragement. I will continue to pray for your ministry, please keep me posted with specific prayer requests you may have.

  3. I just wanted to say ThankYOU once again for helping me out this Monday past with your check so I could aquire a duplicate State-Photo-ID!
I did accomplish that one and at the same time when I was down in the city – I went over to the Library and and received another card just so I can get-back on the computer.
Today I’m going to travel down to the SSI office and see about a duplicate card as well.
It’s not easy trying to replace ALL of Your ID because of a Stolen Wallet.
NOW, the last challenge I have to accomplish is to get my eyes re-examined & have eyeglasses made so I can read again.
I’m 58 years of age and when your eyes go on you – so does the rest of the world you use to know!

If by chance you have any information you could forward me as to getting Help for the eye-exam & Glasses – it will be Very-MUCH-Appreciated!

Adam – ThankYou! ……..Be Good, … Mike Mannion

  4. It’s Mike again – I would like for you to add my email address to the list of comments just so that if any person out there knows of a positive way to aquire an Eye Exam and have Trifocals produced for a person in my situation, they’ed be able to send me in the right direction for this.
If I can accomplish that MAJOR PROBLEM, I surely think I’ll be able to feel confident enough to get back into the Work Force again. It’s not easy picking-up a newspaper or for that matter a phone book & not be able to read anything at all.
Dollar-Store glasses just don’t even come close to solving my problem.
What’s even more dissapointing is the fact that I’m a Graphic Designer and I’m not working! … And I’m homeless!
Anything at all will help at this point.

    Adam – again, ThankYou!… Mike Mannion … mpmgraphics@netzero.net

  5. Don’t know if anyone is still trying to get glasses, but when I was “outside”, I went to Mary Hoard Center (*th and Walnut, I think…) and they gave me a referral to the Phila. Eye Institute for a free pair of glasses. They gave me an eye exam there too. Mind you, you need a couple of tokens since you’ll have to go up there and back twice, but there are places that can help you with that too.Or maybe nice people like Adam 🙂 Hope this helps someone…

Praise Jesus! It is so beautiful to see God’s children uniting to help each other around the country.
    God bless you.
